In February 2015, we were running dangerously low on our Roasted Garlic & Chili Camelina Oil. We used the remainder of Dan’s camelina seed that was harvested in 2012. This seed was sewn in the Fall of 2011. This allowed the crop to get a good head start in the Spring and emerge before any weeds or pests could get the best of it! The growing season was fantastic with rains early on and dry conditions leading into harvest. In late September, this crop was harvested and sure enough, it yielded a seed with optimal oil value and jam packed with Omega-3 and Vitamin E.

Golburn Valley Oilmills pressed this seed lot in December 2014. It was transported to Northern Nutraceuticals in Spalding in January 2015. We set to work adding the roasted garlic and chili flavors and the result was perfection. Another beautiful batch of this flavored oil. Happy Cooking!
