In August 2014, it was time to set to work crushing and bottling for our 2014 christmas gift sets! We used the same seed for all of our 100ml flavors which was the remainder of Dan’s camelina seed that was harvested in 2012.

This seed was sewn in the Fall of 2011. This allowed the crop to get a good head start in the Spring and emerge before any weeds or pests could get the best of it! The growing season was fantastic with rains early on and dry conditions leading into harvest. In early August, this crop was harvested and sure enough, it yielded a seed with optimal oil value and jam packed with Omega-3 and Vitamin E.

Golburn Valley Oilmills pressed the seed in late August and it was transported to Northern Nutraceuticals in Spalding in early September 2014. We set to work adding the roasted garlic and chili flavors and the result was perfection. Another beautiful batch of this flavored oil.
